Strategic Planning
Background:
Over the last several months the Division of the Arts has engaged in a Strategic Planning process to guide our work for the next 3-5 years. With the assistance of an independent consultant, staff, members of the State Arts Council, and research assistance from the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, we developed a statewide survey of arts and culture stakeholders, conducted personal interviews with key stakeholders, convened statewide focus groups in Ruston, Arnaudville, Leesville, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge, and held planning conversations with the 9 Regional Development Agencies, and the Division of the Arts staff. This was the starting point as we gathered input and information to move us into our formal development of the strategic plan. The information was evaluated and summarized, and is now represented in the three strategic directions listed below.
